Once again this year Intesa Sanpaolo, through the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, was the protagonist of Euronext Sustainability Week, an important opportunity to meet with financial and corporate players interested in understanding future scenarios for ESG investments and adopting corporate strategies aimed at net zero.

In this video Shirin Barari Tajani, ESG Initiatives, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, illustrates how, as a member of Borsa Italiana’s Sustainable Finance Partnership, Intesa Sanpaolo aims to enhance and share its expertise and experience on sustainability-related issues, including a wide range of financial and non-financial solutions to support the promotion of sustainable economic development.

Gian Marco Salcioli, Head of Strategic Marketing & ESG Team coordinator, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, then emphasizes the fundamental importance of financing in the transition process and recalls the commitment in Intesa Sanpaolo's business plan in terms of the amount of financing (EUR80Bn), EUR8Bn of which are dedicated to the Circular Economy.

The Division strengthens its commitment to sustainability, promoting innovative financial solutions to meet the growing need for an an increasingly ESG-conscious offering. The available financial offering includes the main ESG solutions: Sustainability-linked and solutions with income linked to specific investments, which, depending on the case, enable using the circular framework or the green framework of the Bank's dedicated circular economy plafond.

The Division participates in important discussion tables at the European Union level, both on taxonomy issues and taking a leading role on more innovative ESG issues. Intesa Sanpaolo was the first Italian bank (among the top six in Europe) to join the European Commission's European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.
