Granarolo Sustainability-Linked financing

The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo has participated, alongside a syndicate of banks, in a EUR 450M sustainability-linked financing facility for Granarolo Group.

Granarolo Group is Italy's leading dairy supply chain directly owned by producers organised as a cooperative and is one of the country's leading companies in the dairy sector. The financing is linked to specific Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) targets set by the Group and includes an incentive mechanism tied to the achievement of defined sustainability performance indicators.

As part of the transaction, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division acted as Global Coordinator, Sustainability Coordinator and Agent. The transaction forms part of Intesa Sanpaolo's broader commitment, led by CEO Carlo Messina, to supporting the real economy and the competitiveness of Italy's productive sector through financial solutions that integrate industrial objectives with sustainability. This approach helps strengthen companies' ability to address future challenges and achieve long-term, sustainable growth.
