Obiettivo Italia 2026 – Geopolitics and Global Markets: How to Navigate the Landscape? Fifth Stop: Milan

For its fifth stop, Obiettivo Italia comes to Milan, one of Italy’s leading hubs for finance, industry, innovation, and advanced services.

Lombardy benefits from a solid and resilient economic ecosystem combining a strong manufacturing tradition, with well-established areas of specializations and continuously evolving industries.

In the Region, the Italian Network of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI CIB Division serves approximately 4,200 clients, belonging to over 820 business groups, with average outstanding loans of approximately 22 billion euros in 2025—equivalent to about 27% of the Italian Network’s total volume.

As Michele Sorrentino, Head of the Italian Network of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI CIB Division, noted, the Bank is committed to further supporting companies, helping them seize new opportunities and navigate growing complexity with greater awareness:

During the event, Gregorio De Felice, Chief Economist at Intesa Sanpaolo, opened the discussion by analyzing the effects of the oil shock on the economy and the strategies businesses can adopt in a volatile international context.Stefano Rivellini, Head of IMI CIB Corporate & Strategic Solutions Sales, then explored innovative approaches to risk management in increasingly complex scenarios. Alessandro Balboni, Head of Innovation Business Development at the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, shared experiences and tools designed to support business transformation. Closing remarks were delivered by Salvatore Moscato, Head of the Lombardy Region for the Italian Network of the IMI CIB Division.

Obiettivo Italia is a national series of meetings organized by Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, dedicated to engaging with businesses on the key drivers of transformation, including international scenarios, risk management, and innovation.
