Obiettivo Italia 2026 - Geopolitics and Global Markets: How to Navigate? Fourth Stop: Turin

For its fourth stop, Obiettivo Italia moved to Turin, a key hub for industry, technology, advanced manufacturing, and innovation.

The Northwest Region has indeed established itself as one of the most dynamic and strategic areas in the country, with world-class industrial supply chains, a strong international outlook, and a high capacity for innovation. Here, the Italian Network of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI CIB Division serves over 1,000 clients belonging to more than 250 business groups, with average cash loans totaling approximately 10 billion euros in 2025, equivalent to about 12% of the Italian Network’s total volume.

As stated by Michele Sorrentino, Head of the Italian Network of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI CIB Division, the Bank is committed to further supporting these companies, helping them seize new opportunities and tackle growing complexity with greater awareness:

Turin and the Northwest continue to stand out as among the country’s main industrial drivers, thanks to a dynamic, innovative entrepreneurial fabric strongly oriented toward international markets. Companies in this region have demonstrated a significant capacity for adaptation, investing in innovation, strengthening their presence in foreign markets, and developing increasingly diversified and resilient supply chains.”

At the Turin event, Giovanni Foresti, Head of Regional Research at Intesa Sanpaolo, presented an in-depth analysis of new economic scenarios and the outlook for Italian businesses. The program also featured numerous presentations on risk management and treasury, with contributions from managers of the IMI CIB Division.

Obiettivo Italia is the national series of meetings organized by Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, dedicated to engaging with businesses on the key drivers of transformation, including international scenarios, risk management, and innovation.

Throughout the year, Obiettivo Italia will visit eight Italian cities in the most dynamic areas of the national economy.
