Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, in pool with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and some of Italy’s leading banks, took part in the EUR 231M financing for Polo Strategico Nazionale (PSN).
Polo Strategico Nazionale is a company owned by TIM, Leonardo, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti – through its subsidiary CDP Equity – and Sogei. Its mission is to develop and manage an innovative and independent cloud infrastructure designed to ensure the secure, economically and environmentally sustainable management of data and applications for the Italian Public Administration.
Through the financing, PSN refinances its existing debt and will further develop Italy’s national cloud infrastructure, in response to the growing number of Public Administrations joining the platform.
In the transaction, IMI CIB, alongside the other financial institutions involved, acted as Structuring Bank, Global Coordinator and Original Mandated Lead Arranger.
