The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo has finalised a loan of €8.8 million to Energy Power 1, a subsidiary of Arena Energy Power, which belongs to the Arena Group and is active in developing investments in the renewable energy sector.
The transaction, with a total value of €8.8 million, includes a Green Loan of €6.8 million, intended for the construction of a Full Merchant photovoltaic plant with a total capacity of approximately 9.9 MWp in the municipality of Assoro (Enna).
- The project will enable the Arena Group to:
- increase electricity generation from solar sources
- gradually reduce its reliance on external energy sources
ontinue its decarbonisation journey, delivering long-term environmental and economic benefits.
The Green Loan has been structured in accordance with the Green Loan Principles of the Loan Market Association (LMA) and is fully compliant with the EU Taxonomy, meeting the most advanced standards of sustainable finance and supporting the growing needs of businesses committed to the energy transition.
