With Enviromena to develop sustainable energy infrastructure
Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has participated in a financing for Enviromena (GBP 825M, equivalent to over EUR 950M).
Enviromena, a portfolio company of Arjun Infrastructure Partners, operates across the United Kingdom and Europe to develop, build and manage utility-scale solar plants and energy storage systems.
The financing, one of the largest transactions in the UK solar sector in 2026, will support the development of strategic projects aimed at achieving the UK government’s renewable energy targets, with key impacts in terms of:
- energy transition
- security of supply
- deployment of low-emission solutions
The transaction is structured in two tranches:
- an initial GBP 525M tranche (approximately EUR 606M), dedicated to the immediate development of photovoltaic assets with a total capacity of approximately 1 GW
- an additional facility of up to GBP 300M (over EUR 346M), which may be drawn progressively in line with project advancement
The transaction confirms Intesa Sanpaolo’s role as a leading financial partner in major international markets for the development of sustainable energy infrastructure and decarbonisation projects.
In recent years, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has strengthened its presence in the United Kingdom through transactions across key infrastructure sectors; through an integrated, long-term approach, Intesa Sanpaolo continues to support the development of resilient, efficient and sustainable infrastructure, helping clients and partners advance the energy transition and the adoption of low-emission solutions.
