Winners At Energy Risk Awards 2023
New achievement for Intesa Sanpaolo, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, awarded at the Energy Risk Awards 2023 in the category 'Derivatives House of the Year', during the gala held on 11 May in Houston.
Organized by Risk.net and now in their third decade, the awards recognize excellence in financial risk management across the commodities sector. The awards are open to energy and commodities producers, traders and consumers, and all firms in between that facilitate risk management. Corporates, banks, other financial firms, technology and data firms, consultancies, brokers and exchanges are all welcome to submit entries to this year’s awards.
The independent jury that analyzed the nominations decided to reward our Group by highlighting how during 2022, Intesa Sanpaolo stood out as one of the few European banks able to respond to the growing demand for hedging products from corporate clients. The Bank's expertise allowed to structure a series of innovative deals that helped clients manage risk during the high volatility and uncertainty that characterized 2022. In addition as part of its support for the energy transition, Intesa Sanpaolo also introduced new products in the metals and renewable energy segments, demonstrating great speed and ability to adapt to the new market environment and new customer needs. Finally, it was recognized that the implementation of new products and services in extremely volatile market conditions required focus, determination and a strong client-centric attitude.
