Best NPL Bank of Year at Global Capital - European Securitization Awards 2023

Last May 4 were held in London the Global Capital - European Securitization Awards 2023. During the ceremony market players that have obtained outstanding achievements in the European securitisation markets have been awarded and the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded NPL Bank of the year thanks to its activity as arranger in numerous securitisation transactions backed by non-performing loans closed in 2022 both for Intesa Sanpaolo and for other Italian banking clients.

In particular, during 2022 the Division acted as Arranger and Placement Agent in 5 securitisation transactions and thanks to these deals gained the leadership in the arranging and placing of securitisation transactions backed by Italian NPL portfolios with public ratings while also maintaining a prominent role in the securitisation of UTP portfolios market.

The awards have been assigned through a voting process open to all market participants.

Despite a year of great challenges, the securitisation market continues to expand and this was clearly felt in the atmosphere of the evening, which was well attended with more than 250 guests.

The prizes were awarded through a voting process open to all market participants, with nominations opened last November, a short list presented in January that garnered more than 35,000 votes and resulted in around 50 winners.
