The new agreement with Enel for sustainable growth of suppliers

Supporting the development of suppliers, facilitating growth in their path for sustainability both for access to credit and from the perspective of resource management: the new agreement signed by Enel and Intesa Sanpaolo, in harmony with the guidelines of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR in Italian) and its measures aimed at accelerating the Italian path toward energy transition, further extends the range of opportunities offered to companies in the Enel supply chain under the Supplier Development Program stipulated by the parties in August 2020.

The original agreement included, for this first phase of cooperation, a perimeter of about 150 suppliers on which it was possible to allow the granting of 35 million euros in new credit.

Given the successful outcome, the new agreement, in addition to expanding the range of possibilities and the focus on sustainability, will see an extension of participation to all Italian suppliers of the Enel Group.

This enriches the scope of the Supplier Development Program by foreseeing new and broader credit facilities from the Bank for the benefit of companies in the Enel supply chain that have launched investments and initiatives focused at increasing sustainability and circularity in full coherence with the Missions of the PNRR.
