Financing to Save Group to support the infrastructure sustainability

To reshape existing debt and foster the development of the Veneto airport sector through the construction of increasingly safe and sustainable infrastructure, generating a direct impact on the economy and tourism. These are the main goals of the 640 million euro, five-year loan granted by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) together with a pool of banks consisting of Intesa Sanpaolo (through the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division), UniCredit, BNP Paribas Italia, Crédit Agricole, Société Générale and Mediobanca.

Specifically, the new resources will be used to refinance debt and to implement the Group's planned investments over the next five years at Venice and Treviso airports. Among the planned interventions: the introduction of technological innovations for passenger screening, the installation of a new baggage handling system, and the adoption of technologies that will help achieve energy transition goals.

In collaboration with Ente Nazionale per l’Aviazione Civile (ENAC), the development of new types of air transport for intelligent and environmentally sustainable mobility will also be fostered.
