On 10 December 2021 Global Finance announced the World's Best Trade Finance Providers 2022, on which occasion Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded as “Best Trade Finance Provider 2022” for Italy.
The award recognizes the activities carried out in 2021 by the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division in the Trade Finance area. In 2021, the Trade Finance sector continued to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced all operators to redefine and adapt their methodologies and dynamics. The winners of the Trade Finance Awards were selected by Global Finance for their ability to respond effectively to the changing landscape through new technological tools and new client services.
These awards are recognized by the global financial community as a strong indicator of the standards of excellence by which the award-winning institutions operate.
The winners were chosen by the Global Finance's editorial board, which reviewed votes from banks, other service providers, specialist analysts, corporate executives and other industry experts. The criteria were transaction volumes, global coverage, customer service, pricing and technology innovation.
