From 28 September to 1 October 2026, the Sibos community will gather at the Miami Beach Convention Center, hosting the event in Miami for the first time. With the theme "Digital Finance for AI-driven Economies", Sibos 2026 will bring together financial institutions, market infrastructures, corporates and technology providers to discuss the trends and innovations shaping the future of global finance. Key topics will include payments, trade finance, digital assets, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, resilience, regulatory developments and emerging technologies.

Hundreds of industry leaders and experts from around the world will explore how enhanced connectivity, interoperability and innovation can support sustainable growth in increasingly digital and AI-driven economies. Sibos continues to represent a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing and business development, enabling Intesa Sanpaolo to strengthen existing relationships and identify new opportunities.

Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division will be present at Sibos 2026 as an event partner, welcoming institutional clients and prospects at its dedicated stand (H067).

As part of the Sibos 2026 conference program, Mariella Santoro, Head of Trade & Supply Chain Finance, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, Intesa Sanpaolo, will speak at the Trade stream session, “Payments or trade: who drives the digital economy?”, on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The session will address one of the most relevant questions which financial industry faces today: as global trade and payments become increasingly interconnected, which ecosystem will drive the next phase of the digital economy? Bringing together representatives from banks, corporates and fintech innovators, the discussion will explore the convergence of trade and payments, evolving business models, competitive dynamics and new opportunities for collaboration across the value chain.

Mariella Santoro will share Intesa Sanpaolo's perspective on the strategic role of financial institutions in supporting global trade flows and enabling innovation through increasingly integrated trade finance solutions. The debate will focus on how industry players can remain competitive and relevant in a rapidly evolving and interconnected financial landscape, while continuing to address client needs through greater efficiency, digitalization and collaboration.

Each year, Sibos brings together influential leaders from financial institutions, market infrastructures, multinational corporations and technology partners to exchange ideas, foster collaboration and help shape the future of the financial industry.
