Sustainability Coordinator for Acque Bresciane

A pool of banks, coordinated by Intesa Sanpaolo - IMI CIB as Sustainability Coordinator, has granted an additional EUR 55M credit line to Acque Bresciane, sole manager of Brescia's water service and a total public capital company.

This financing is in addition to the EUR 202M credit line granted in October 2021.

The new credit line, a Sustainability Linked Loan with a pricing mechanism linked to the achievement of specific ESG targets, will be used to combine company development and environmental sustainability; the reduction of pollutant emissions and the reduction of water losses are among the identified KPIs.

The Intesa Sanpaolo Group, led by CEO Carlo Messina, has long been at the forefront of accelerating the transition to a low-emission economy with specific financing plafonds for individuals and companies and an increasingly wide range of sustainable investment products.
