MASAF, CDP and Intesa Sanpaolo agreement: eur 20 Bn for agriculture

On 13 May 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and Intesa Sanpaolo signed an agreement to promote credit policies and synergies for the development of the agricultural and agrifood sector, also in relation to the measures of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. As part of the broader EUR 410Bn financing to support the NRRP initiatives, Intesa Sanpaolo, also using funding provided by CDP, will make EUR 20Bn available to the sector to revitalise Italian agriculture.

The agreement was signed by Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Dario Scannapieco, CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Stefano Barrese, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo's Banca dei Territori Division, and Mauro Micillo, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division.

Intesa Sanpaolo, thanks to the collaboration between the Banca dei Territori Division and the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, concretely contributes to the realisation of impactful, innovative and sustainable projects aimed at strategic production chains in our Country, in order to increase their relevance and competitiveness also in foreign markets.
