Bocconi University's "Sustainable urban regeneration" MOOC course launched

On December 15, the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) "Sustainable Urban Regeneration" was launched by Università Bocconi on the Coursera platform. The course is part of the Sustainable Urban Regeneration Lab (SUR Lab), established by the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi, with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo together with Hines, Milanosesto S.p.A. and Prelios.

The goal of the SUR Lab is to develop and disseminate knowledge, methods and best practices on sustainable urban regeneration processes and how they generate value for the private sector and society.

In supporting the initiative, Intesa Sanpaolo, with the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, is supporting the development of studies, research and projects that address sustainable urban regeneration achieved with solutions based on efficient use of natural resources, high circularity and resilience, and reduced environmental impact.

Urban regeneration is a key area for governing change, attracting investment, engaging stakeholders and generating multiple benefits in both developed and developing countries.

The "Sustainable Urban Regeneration" course is available in English on the Coursera platform, and includes five learning modules, as well as a final test.

The course will allow students to analyze several specific global case studies, presented by both Bocconi faculty and external guests, to identify policy and business models that enable successful urban regeneration.

Week 4 - Assessing Urban Regeneration - will feature a contribution from Erica Abisso, Senior Corporate Banker, Global Strategic Coverage, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, Intesa Sanpaolo.
