Finance Community Awards 2022: winners in 3 categories
A new success for the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, awarded in three categories at the Financecommunity Awards 2022 held on 17 November 2022 at Super Studio Più in Milan.
Organised by Financecommunity.it and now in their eighth edition, they recognise excellence in the financial sector by highlighting the professionals who, over the course of the year, have distinguished themselves for the number and type of deals they have overseen, for the value of the deals and for their special features.
First up on stage was Marco Lattuada, Head of Investment Banking & Structured Finance, who collected the award for Team of the Year - Corporate Finance.
"The award received by Financecommunity testifies that the Investment Banking and Structured Finance platform of Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has been involved in some of the most significant transactions carried out on the Italian market in support of international and sophisticated clients. Among the most important transactions in which we played a leading role, I recall the merger of Autogrill with Dufry (financial advisor), the capital increase of Saipem (Joint Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunner) and the spin-off of Iveco Group from CNH Industrial (Joint Global Coordinator),' said M. Lattuada.
Another team honoured during the evening, together with colleagues from the Intesa Sanpaolo Chief Lending Officer area, was the one led by Vittorio Savarese, Head of Structured Credit and Risk Transfer, who won as Team of the Year - NPLs.
"This result confirms the role of IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division as a primary actor in the NPLs sector. Over the past year, in fact, we have assisted several Italian banks - both on a stand-alone basis and as part of multi-originator operations - structuring almost all rated NPLs securitisation transactions (including also those then assisted by the GACS state guarantee) as well as Intesa Sanpaolo itself in its effort to deleverage non-performing assets, one of the pillars of the 2022 - 2025 Business Plan," said Salvatore Crescenzi, Head of Global Markets Solutions & Financing, commenting on the victory.
The last award went to Faustino Galeotti, Head of ECM BDT, proclaimed Professional of the Year - ECM EURONEXT GROWTH MILAN.
Andrea Falchetti, Head of Corporate Finance Mid-Cap, expressed his satisfaction: "A well-deserved acknowledgement to Faustino Galeotti for his important contribution, but even more important is the confirmation that a model integrating product and origination, dedicated to the mid-market, succeeds in making our clients' objectives a reality, even in times of highly complex situations. Among the many transactions, a particular mention goes to the role of Joint Global Coordinator played in the listing of Technoprobe, the largest in the history of the EGM segment and among the three largest in Europe in 2022 by amount raised, to whose success contributed the ability to realise important synergies together with the Group's other Divisions, in this case Banca dei Territori and Private Banking".
