On 10 August 2022, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division signed a financing transaction with Start Romagna, a company that manages public transport in Romagna, in which the local authorities hold a stake.
The beauty contest, which saw a large participation of the banking system, concerned a total Sustainability Linked financing of EUR 50 million, aimed at renewing the rolling stock with about 230 new buses, also through the use of various sources of public contributions, including the NRRP.
Intesa Sanpaolo has a final take of EUR 20 million (BPER and ICCREA participate in the pool) and, thanks to its recognised technical expertise and knowledge of the sector, it played a key role in the transaction acting as MLA, Coordinator, Sustainability Coordinator and Agent.
