Strategic Advisor for Sustainable Finance in Europe

The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo continues to establish itself as a strategic advisor to international clients in transactions aimed at supporting the energy transition and actively contributing to the decarbonization of the energy mix.

The Division has particularly strong expertise in the renewable energy sector, having participated in several strategic operations across Europe, including:

• Acting as financial advisor to BayWa r.e. for the sale to Encavis AG of a significant renewable energy portfolio totaling 199 MW in northern Spain, comprising three wind farms with a combined capacity of approximately 142 MW and two photovoltaic (PV) plants totaling 57 MWp
• Serving as financial advisor to F2i, Italy’s leading infrastructure fund, in the consolidation of its energy transition activities within Sorgenia
• Advising Enel Group on its partnership agreement with UAE-based renewable energy company Masdar for the management of photovoltaic plants in Spain
• Acting as co-advisor in the joint operation between Masdar and Iberdrola for the co-investment in the 476 MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea
