Financial Advisor to F2i in Sorgenia’s restructuring
The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo acted as financial advisor to F2i in the consolidation of its activities in the energy transition sector through Sorgenia.
F2i, Italy’s leading infrastructure fund, has selected Sixth Street as its partner in this strategic restructuring aimed at supporting growth and future business development. Sixth Street will acquire approximately 38% of Sorgenia, which in turn will take over EF Solare, Renovalia, and Renovalia Tramontana - companies active in solar and wind energy generation in Italy and Spain, currently controlled by F2i.
Following the execution of the agreements, F2i will hold about 62% of Sorgenia, making it one of Europe’s leading players in the energy transition sector, with an extensive portfolio of renewable energy plants including solar, wind, biomass, and hydroelectric facilities.
This operation reaffirms Intesa Sanpaolo’s role as a reference partner in advisory services at both national and international levels, supporting energy transition initiatives and sustainable development solutions.
