Supporting Metlen solar portfolio in Australia

Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division participated as lender in the refinancing of Metlen’s solar portfolio in Australia. Once fully operational, its portfolio will produce renewable energy of almost 1 TWh annually, avoiding approximately 650,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

A global industrial and energy company with a leading position in the metals and energy sectors, Metlen is focused on sustainable development and the circular economy with a portfolio of six operational solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland, and the 150 MWp Munna Creek Solar Farm approaching construction completion.
