Awarded at Financecommunity Awards 2025

Intesa Sanpaolo was once again a key player at the Financecommunity Awards 2025, the event that recognizes excellence in Italian finance, held on November 13 at the East End Studios in Milan.

The Financecommunity Awards recognize excellence in the financial sector, honoring those who have distinguished themselves during the year in terms of the number and type of transactions carried out, as well as the value and unique characteristics of the deals concluded.

In particular, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division received 4 awards this year:

• Deal of the Year: Awarded for providing assistance to F2i in the sale of 2i Rete Gas to Italgas for a consideration of €2.060 billion, making Italgas the leading European operator in the gas distribution sector and demonstrating how M&A advisory services are fundamental to the development and growth of companies.
• Professional of the Year Mid-Market M&A: Enrico Merler, Head of M&A Mid Cap, was awarded for successfully completing numerous M&A advisory transactions in Italian mid-cap companies, establishing himself and the bank as a leading player for this client segment.
• Team of the Year M&A: the Division's M&A team was awarded for the second time, confirming Intesa Sanpaolo's central role in M&A also in the large corporate, financial institutions, and private equity fund sectors, thanks to transactions characterized by high strategic importance.
• Team of the Year Corporate lending: awarded Corporate Loan Structuring Desk of the Division, for successfully leading major transactions in various sectors, from fashion to TMT, characterized by structural complexity and significant economic value.

These important awards testify to Intesa Sanpaolo's leadership and role as a benchmark in the Investment Banking sector.
