Support to the Venture Catalyst Challenge of Imperial College London

As part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s membership with Imperial College London, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has supported the Venture Catalyst Challenge (VCC) — the leading competition through which students, alumni, and young researchers can turn their innovative ideas into startups.

Over the years, this Challenge has contributed to the growth of successful ventures, establishing itself as a benchmark for the innovation ecosystem.

Through a three-month program, the Venture Catalyst Challenge involved 25 teams who benefited from mentoring, workshops, and meetings with investors. Among the five competition categories, the Energy & Environment category was sponsored by the IMI CIB Division, confirming its ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in the energy sector.

This initiative is part of the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division’s strategy to build synergies with leading universities worldwide and to offer young people tangible opportunities in the financial sector — creating a bridge between academic studies and professional experience.
