Protagonists in USA with project finance and transactions for USD 50 billion
Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, reconfirms its leading role in the United States: over the last three years, it has supported some of the most significant transactions, with a total value of approximately USD 50 billion, and it turns out to be the leading Italian bank in project finance.
In Washington, during the International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings, Intesa Sanpaolo reaffirms its role as a strategic partner for corporates and financial institutions in the United States, with a focus on the energy, infrastructure and digital sectors.
Through its IMI CIB Division, Intesa Sanpaolo has played a leading role in major financing transactions, in advisory, bonds issuance and interest rate hedging.
Global project finance volumes in the first eight months of 2025 exceeded EUR 200 billion, with the IMI CIB Division involved in transactions worth over EUR 30 billion, representing approximately 15% of the total market.
Among the latest transactions: AT&T (2025), Bighorn Project (2024), Cider Project (2024), SunZia (2023), CEMEX (2023), JFK New Terminal One (2022).
For the IMI CIB Division, the United States represents the largest market outside Italy.
