BayWa r.e. sells renewable energy plants in Spain

Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division acted as financial advisor to BayWa r.e. in the sale of a portfolio of renewable energy assets to Encavis AG.

The projects are located in northern Spain, in the Aragon region, about 40 kilometers from Zaragoza. They include:

  • Three wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 142 MW
  • Two photovoltaic (PV) plants totaling 57 MWp

BayWa r.e., based in Germany, is an independent power producer specializing in renewable energy. Encavis AG is one of Europe’s leading producers of renewable electricity.

The deal highlights Intesa Sanpaolo's role as a key international advisory partner, supporting energy transition initiatives and sustainable development projects.
