Pool Financing for Acque Bresciane’s Ecological Transition
Intesa Sanpaolo, through its IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, has joined a pool of banks in providing a EUR 38M financing to Acque Bresciane in addition to the EUR 202M agreement signed in 2021 and to the EUR 55M secured in 2024.
Thanks to this new three-year credit line, the sole operator of the integrated water service in the province of Brescia will be able to get contributions from Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), allocated to strategic companies driving the ecological transition.
Specifically, Acque Bresciane plans to build the Comprehensive Aqueduct for the Upper and Middle Valle Trompia, to expand and upgrade several wastewater treatment plants in the region, rehabilitate and improve water infrastructures, and invest in digitalization.
This operation reaffirms the Division’s commitment to financing strategic infrastructure projects that support regional growth and ecological transition.
