Winners at SCI's Capital Relief Trade Awards 2024
Last October 17th SCI's Capital Relief Trade Awards took place in London, where Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded in the European Transaction of the Year category for the Fanes SRT 2023 deal. This transaction marks the first synthetic securitisation ever completed by Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano - Südtiroler Sparkasse, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, acting as arranger and placement agent.
The transaction is notable as the first-ever STS synthetic securitisation in Italy involving exclusively private investors. It sets a new benchmark for the Italian market, proving that even smaller regional banks can successfully enter the significant risk transfer market.
