Winners at TXF Export Finance Deal of the Year Awards 2023

Intesa Sanpaolo IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division has been honored with three prestigious awards at TXF Export Finance Deals of the Year Awards 2023 for its exceptional export credit transactions. The awards were presented during the TXF Global 2024 Conference, held in Athens on June 11 and 12.

In particular the categories in which we have excelled are:

European Export Finance Deal of the Year: Ineos Olefins Project ONE Financing. Recognized as the most energy-efficient and environmentally friendly ethylene installation in Europe, boasting less than half the CO2 emissions of the top 10% best-performing steam crackers in the continent.
Blended Export Finance Deal of the Year: H2 Green Steel Project. Celebrated as the world’s first large-scale green steel plant and Europe’s first giga-scale electrolyzer.
Manufacturing Export Finance Deal of the Year: Northvolt Ett. It’s Europe's First Fully Circular Battery Cell Manufacturing Site: a groundbreaking achievement in sustainable technology and production.

These important transactions are part of a framework of development of Structured Export Finance, also thanks to the strengthened commitment in Debt Origination activities. Specifically, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group has financed large energy transition projects with high capital investment, committing itself to proposing sustainable finance solutions to customers and establishing new benchmarks in the sector also thanks to the strong relationship with SACE, CESCE, Euler Hermes and the other European ECA’s.
