Awarded at the Financecommunity Awards 2024

Intesa Sanpaolo was once again leading actor at the Financecommunity Awards 2024, the most prestigious event that rewards excellence in Italian finance, held on 14 November at the Rubattino56 space in Milan.

The Financecommunity Awards, now in their tenth edition, recognize excellence in the financial sector that have distinguished themselves over the year for the number and type of operations followed, for the value of the deals concluded and for their peculiarities.

In particular, the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division received three awards this year:

• Team of the Year: awarded an interfunctional team, protagonist of the Enel-Masdar agreement for the management of photovoltaic in Spain.
  This success demonstrates how Intesa Sanpaolo has played a central role in the last year in bond issues and M&A operations, particularly in the energy sector.
• Deal of the Year: awarded Fincantieri for the acquisition of Leonardo's Underwater Armaments & Systems line.
  The award was collected, together with other banks and law firms involved in the operation, by Guido Austoni, Head of Equity Capital Markets, and Fabio Matti, Head of Industry Automotive & Industrials,
• Professional of the Year Food & Beverage: awarded Laura Asperti, Head of Industry Food & Beverage and Distribution, protagonist of several significant operations within the Group, including the acquisition by Campari of Courvoisier (a global cognac producer) and the acquisition by Sammontana of Forno d'Asolo (a leader in frozen bakery and pastry products)
