Sole Financial Advisor in the acquisition of 7 biomethane plants by Verdalia, owned
by Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Verdalia Bionenergy Italy (“Verdalia”) has acquired from L&L Bio (“L&L”) and Green Arrow Bio Holding (“Green Arrow”) 7 biomethane plants and their related service companies.

IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division acted as sole Financial Advisor playing a crucial role in the origination of this transaction and advised Verdalia in all the phases of the deal.

Verdalia is a Spanish company, owned by Goldman Sachs Asset Management that specialises in renewable energy solutions, particularly in the field of bioenergy, with the aim of reducing the reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate environmental impact.

Green Arrow Capital is one of the leading independent Italian operators in the landscape of alternative investments, with assets under management amounting to approximately 2 billion euro in historical funds raised.

L&L is among the key players in the clean and renewable energy sector, it designs and manages high technology facilities for the production of energy from wind, water and agro-zootechnical by products.

Verdalia aims to invest over 1 billion euro in Europe in the biomethane sector, thanks to this acquisition, Verdalia will continue upgrading existing biogas plants and will focus on the development and construction of new biomethane facilities in Italy.
