Structuring Bank, Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner in the financing to Polo Strategico Nazionale
IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo acted as Structuring Bank, Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner in the more than EUR 200M financing of Polo Strategico Nazionale signed on February 14th, 2024.
Polo Strategico Nazionale (“PSN”) is the pillar of the “Strategia Cloud Italia” fostered by the “Dipartimento per la trasformazione digitale della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri” and is also a key project within the NRRP framework. Polo Strategico Nazionale has been granted a financing from Italy’s major financing institutions, supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The aim of the financing is to support Polo Strategico Nazionale in accomplishing its objectives, among others to establish a cloud infrastructure ensuring a high degree of security, as well as economic and environmental sustainability in managing the Italian Public Administration data and applications.
In detail, the financing consists of three facilities with the aim of strengthening and accelerating the operations of Polo Strategico Nazionale funding project costs, operating and financial expenses and the capex technological renewal. The main target of the project is to promote the digital transformation of the Italian Public Administration allowing the migration to PSN’s secure cloud.
