Sustainable financing of EUR 50 million for Laminam
IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division acted as Sole Mandated Lead Arranger in the structuring of a sustainable loan of 50 million euros in favour of Laminam S.p.A., in support of the company's investment plan based on a road map that envisages:
- reducing environmental impact throughout the value chain
- energy efficiency
- the creation of products using environmentally sustainable processes and materials
Laminam, a company based in Fiorano Modenese (Italy) controlled by Alpha Private Equity Group, produces and sells high-end, large-size ceramic slabs that are used in three main sectors: furniture and design, façade systems, and interior floor and wall coverings.
The effort towards sustainability is well represented by the results Laminam obtained in 2020: in the Group's production plants, energy consumption and CO2 emissions have decreased by 10%, as have other atmospheric emissions. In particular, in the Italian plants, there has been a 16% reduction in water withdrawals, a 23% in waste produced and a 17% in the quantity of packaging materials.
This transaction confirms our Group's commitment to favouring the country's ESG transformation by supporting companies that want to improve their sustainability profile.
