The Iren Group, through its subsidiaries Iren Smart Solutions and Iren Mercato, has signed a framework agreement with the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo for the sale and purchase of Superbonus and Ecobonus tax credits provided for by the Decreto Rilancio.
Thanks to this agreement, for a total amount of 170 million euro, the Iren Group will benefit from the immediate release of the tax credit deriving from the tax incentives and will be able to support energy requalification projects in buildings which, it is estimated, will lead to an average energy saving of more than 50% of the energy consumed and an estimated saving in terms of emissions of more than 4,000 tons of C02.
The companies of the Iren Group have already signed more than 500 contracts and started more than 300 worksites related to requalification works, of which Intesa Sanpaolo will purchase the corresponding tax credit. The first tranche of sale will be completed by 31 December 2021, for an amount of approximately EUR 40 million.
