EUR 162.5M green loan for the Libeskind Tower in Milan

Intesa Sanpaolo participates in the first Green Loan completed by Generali Real Estate SGR in Italy and one of the first ever on the Italian market.

The EUR 162.5M loan to the Rubens real estate fund, managed by Generali RE and owner of the Libeskind Tower in Milan, was completed together with BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB and UniCredit and was structured to comply with the Green Loan Principles outlined by the Loan Market Association and other international associations.

Andrea Mayr, Head of Global Banking & Sovereign Institutions of IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division says: "This operation confirms how a sustainable and responsible approach to business, even in the Real Estate sector, is increasingly central to the company's strategies."
