Annual report on the economy and finance of industrial districts in 2020
The Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo has presented its 13th Annual Report on the Economy and Finance of Industrial Districts.
Industrial Districts are extremely relevant for the Italian economic system and, one year on from the outbreak of the pandemic, the Report aims to present the state of health of the districts, highlighting the critical issues to be overcome, the resilience factors on which to leverage and the priorities to be faced for a lasting and sustainable economic recovery.
On this occasion, Carlo Messina announced the Group’s intention to provide over €400 billion in medium-long-term disbursements in support of the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan:
- €120 billion approx. to SME with turnover under 350 million euros
- €150 billion approx. to Corporates with turnover over 350 million euros
- more than €140 billion to retail clients
The support of Intesa Sanpaolo to the real economy and in favour of companies will be carried out mainly in those areas closely linked to the Recovery Plan such as: green, circular and ecological transition, infrastructure and transport, and urban regeneration projects.
Intesa Sanpaolo supports the implementation of innovative and sustainable projects thanks to its network distributed throughout the territories, helps companies in accessing European funds and offers dedicated services with specific know-how in digital and sustainability.
