Digital and innovative, the future of international transactions

Intesa Sanpaolo at Salone dei Pagamenti. Milan Nov. 23-25, 2022

The international payments scenario, consisting of hundreds of millions of transactions each year, is profoundly changing due to the macroeconomic, geopolitical and regulatory environment and an increasingly competitive market framework.
This theme dominated the Salone dei Pagamenti 2022, which saw the important presence of Intesa Sanpaolo, alongside the younger generation, proposing its offerings to prepare for future challenges with proper financial education.

Our group is strongly committed to addressing this substantial transformation of the international payments system with technological innovations, platforms and qualified services both to retail and corporate clients. One of the goals is to offer the possibility for clients to make or receive payments in dollars or euros in real time, just as we have become accustomed to doing euro on euro with the instant transfer. The world of payments based on so-called correspondent banking, i.e., collaboration between banks to cover all countries of the world, today is joined by new realities, often from the Fintech world, that propose cheaper and faster money transfer solutions and models. Other diversified origination solutions are also entering the market pushing banks to update their business models.

In this video, Francesca Trolio, Head of Business Development, and Giancarlo Esposito, Head of Payment, Cash Management & Open Banking at IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division Intesa Sanpaolo explain the group's presence at the Salone dei Pagamenti and the new initiatives dedicated to clients in this phase of profound change.
